AFTER(life)

“Your steadfast love, O LORD,
extends to the heavens,
your faithfulness
reaches to the clouds.

PSALM 36:5 ESV

Life is good. Wait, what does that mean, exactly? Well, this week, to me it means: textbooks and tantrums; races through the backyard and sleeping bag parades; love-notes and loose teeth. Life is good. When you see it that way. If 2012 brought me nothing more than I had this week, I’d be okay with that. Yet, I know there will be sick days and food fights; and long days chased by sleepless nights…and that’s Life. I could get used to this glass-half-full way of looking at things. It’s been a real hard-knock life, and for too long I couldn’t see much past the cracks in the pavement. Yet, I’ve come to find that between those cracks can grow, if you let it, a flower. This delicate bloom, sheltered from the storm, can grow and blossom into faith. Faith which cannot be moved.
