“Let us then with confidence
draw near to the throne of grace,
that we may receive mercy and find
grace to help in time of need.”
HEBREWS 4:16 ESV
Have you ever watched a young child, arms so full of acorns that each one added leaves others trailing behind? That is us. We chase after dreams and try to grasp a full life…but leave bits and pieces of ourselves along the way, unnoticed and forgotten. We fill our lives with an ever-increasing static to drown out the lies that we believe. Lies like, I’m unlovable, I’ll never be able to change, and God has abandoned me. Each of us, at some point, will stand in the back alley of doubt and have to face our fears…but we are not alone. When dark days come and cloud your vision, look to the promises in God’s Word to light your way. As we set aside the burdens that weigh us down, we have open arms to embrace God with all our hearts.
